Women’s Conference

About a month ago, I finally had a chance to host my first women’s conference. This was a great joy to me as this content is really on my heart. The Lord has shown me that a big part of my calling is to catapult people, especially women, into their destinies. I’m naturally drawn to women as I have a strong call to “bind the broken-hearted.” (Isaiah 61:1)

Of course there are also broken-hearted men and if someone needs my help I will be happy to pray for them and help them through whatever it is that they’re facing. That being said, my natural inclination is to help women. That is partly because I feel that women are overlooked and partly because I know what they’re going through—being a woman myself. Whatever the case may be, I know that this passion is sent from the Lord. I’ve had it on my heart to teach women for about three-and-a-half years, but hadn’t yet had the opportunity to do so.

In light of this call on my heart, I put together a seminar called, ”Women and Their Place in the Ministry – The power of a woman under the Holy Ghost.” I couldn’t wait to see what the Lord would do.

There’s an amazing university town called Potchefstroom that is full of young people who are passionate about Jesus. The Lord raised up a beautiful, young lady in this town to organize the meeting and I just came to teach. This amazing girl got her friends together and they were all such a sweet bunch, so hungry for more of the Lord; it was the Lord’s perfect set-up.

When the time arrived, it was more like a cell group or Bible Study group at someone’s flat. It didn’t matter to me how many people were there or not, I was just so excited to share with these ladies all that the Lord had shown me about being a woman in the ministry. My whole vision with this is just to inspire and lift these ladies up with all that Jesus has planned for their futures. If they’ll just abandon themselves to Jesus and know that the sky truly is the limit when it comes to what they can accomplish with His help!

The meeting went great! I was so excited and that always helps, ha! I really felt the Lord just pour out His spirit and I just saw those ladies’ eyes open. They were really attentive and their spirits were ready for all that Jesus had and has in store for them. I could see that it was really hitting the spot and I felt so grateful that the Lord gave me such a special group of girls for my very first women’s seminar. In the end, the girls were really inspired and they felt spiritually propelled into all that Jesus had for them.

The next day they invited me for coffee to share with their other friends who had missed it. I shared what was on my heart and they shared what was on theirs and then we decided what practical steps we could take to go forward from here. We talked about getting different outreaches started as they all wanted to start doing more for the Lord and to get things rolling.

I just heard from them recently and they said that they have started doing the outreaches, which made me so happy! Some of them are also part of an awesome discipleship program which my friend has started in Potchefstroom. This cell group is really growing and maturing and the Lord is doing wonderful things with this incredible group of people.

If you would like to know more about the work in Potchefstroom, please let me know and I will put you in contact with them. And if you want me to send you a copy of the women’s conference, let me know and I will gladly forward it to you.

I just wanted to share one last thought with you: whether you are a woman or a man, Jesus has a very special plan and purpose for your life! All you need to do is, “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desire of your heart. Commit your ways unto Him, trust also in Him and He will bring it to pass.” (Psa 37:4-5)
